What Are The Qualifications To Be Granted A Franchise?
Kahala carefully reviews every application and considers the following factors in determining the award of a franchise:
Prior business experience and management skills. While Kahala prefers owner operators, we also encourage multiple unit franchise operators. Kahala is looking for individuals with the ability to create and organize a management team.
Sincere desire to provide quality service to customers.
Potential and aptitude for business success.
Quality and integrity of the business plan.
Ability to meet the capital investment requirements.
How Long Will It Take To Open My New Restaurant?
The approval process to award your franchise will take a few weeks. Once a site is secured, construction can take anywhere from weeks to months, depending on concept and actual location.
Does Kahala Provide Financing?
No. Kahala does not offer financing at this time. The cost may be financed through a third party lending institution or other third party lenders. If necessary, Kahala can recommend lenders to you that it has dealt with in the past.
Will Kahala Help Me Find A Site?
Yes, we will. Kahala has long-standing relationships with all of the major shopping mall developers in North America and other regional and national landlords who are continually offering new locations to us.
If you like, we can help you negotiate the terms of the lease directly with the landlord and evaluate the economics of your new franchise before you personally sign any lease. The cost of this in-house negotiating and evaluation service is $2,500.
Where Are Kahala Restaurants Located?
We're everywhere! Most concepts are flexible enough to fit a variety of location types including street-front stores, mall food courts, in-line strip centers, airports, movie theaters, free-standing pad sites, kiosks, institutional commissaries, business centers, etc.
